The Author
Charles Whitham
An American novelist from Excelsior Springs, Missouri — now writing from Funabashi, Japan. Charles has been living and teaching in Japan for fifteen years, and that experience of displacement and perception runs quietly through everything he writes.
His work sits at the intersection of speculative fiction and emotional realism — stories where obsession, identity, and the unseen pressures of reality collide. He is the author of Sheffield and Tatwitt, with a third novel, The Emotion Engine, due November 2026.
